Well done Aden!

Aden is full of smiles as he accurately completes a 'word work' activity during reading today.

Marbles

 Room 5  boys discovered  how much fun old fashioned marbles can be.

They used cut up swimming noodles as a marble run.

They had to test out various heights and distances to get the marbles into the garages.

This was such a great rainy day activity.

Fun Day Friday

Look what Room 5 got up to on Friday during choosing time.

Aden and Arliah mixed shaving cream and sand to make muddy paddocks for their farm.

Noah and Dylan showed great perseverance in making a marble run.

Leon tried his hand at flicking marbles into a garage.

Blake and Milan got creative with the play dough.

Madison loves to draw.

Room 5 love being creative on Friday.

Swimming

This week some of the children from Room 5 have been at the swimming pool each day learning how to keep themselves safe in the water. The rest of the class will be going next week.

Trouble at the school gate.

Yesterday some eager writers went to observe first hand  a water feature at our school gate.

Here are some stories that were shared with the class and are now starring on The Good Work Table for the day.

Today I saw a burst pipe under the footpath.It was cool and the taps didn't work at school. (by Noah)

Today the water pipe burst on the footpath. The drinking fountain didn't work. I looked at the men fixing the pipes.(by Milan G)

Words that are highlighted were written by the children by looking for them around the room or they were spelt independently.
Letters that are highlighted were written by listening to the order of the letter sounds when the children said the word slowly.
