Who said children can't fly?

Room 5  shared a book called Dan the Flying Man by Joy Cowley. 
After reading the text the children responded by taking on the role of the character and telling the reader what they flew over.

Today we explored the letter sound for Bb  during our making and creating hour.

Bently's Sunflowers

Look at Bently's beautiful sunflowers. He grew them at home from seeds that he bought at Mitre 10.

The Guinness World Record

Last Friday Room 5 participated in an attempt to make the Guinness Book of Records by doing a continuous high five. There were lots of children from schools in the Grey District.

Room 5 learners were so patient and well behaved .They had to sit for a very long time until all the schools had arrived at Rugby Park and then wait for their turn to do a high five to the person next to them. Mrs Drake was so very proud of them.
